Dr Juliet Pickering    (BA, MA, PhD, C.Phys, D.Hyp, MNHR, AHA)

Is also a fully qualified hypnotherapist, having trained with Lifeforce School of Hypnosis, London, an associate member of the Hypnotherapy Association and a member of the UK Hypnotherapy Register.

Juliet has a private hypnotherapy practice in Ealing, London and has had success in helping clients with areas such as:

·      enjoying pregnancy and childbirth;

·      stress reduction and management;

·      reducing weight;

·      increasing confidence – at work, in life, public speaking etc;

·      sea sickness;

·      asthma;

·      allergies such as hayfever;

·      pain relief.

Juliet recently gave birth to her daughter using hypnosis – labour lasting about 4 hours, which is a fairly typical timescale when using hypnosis.

“During my pregnancy I used hypnosis: to give deep and restful sleep; to relax completely – the relaxation being not only of benefit to myself but also to my baby; to remove leg cramps instantly and completely; to prevent any morning sickness; to reduce stretch marks – I have no stretch marks on my stomach; to enable myself to concentrate at work; to be calm and relaxed throughout the preparations for my baby’s birth (we moved house two weeks before our baby was born!); and to look forward to the childbirth experience.  Hypnosis gave me a fast labour – surprising the midwife who tried to convince me I was going to be there for at least 12 hours !  Hypnosis also helped me to recover quickly after childbirth, giving me the energy to get to know my new born baby and enjoy all the challenges of being a first time mother – we have great fun!! “
